His academic swaps are interesting as it gets .. he is an engineer by profession.
He thereafter entered the Indian Art College and graduated with colours and flairs to brag. He then went on to get a diploma in ‘communication’ – the yearning to touch his own rendezvous took him into journalism as an occupation to boot.
A subtle eagerness-ache did haunt ANIRUDHHA nevertheless – and that was his deep desire and attraction to films and the whole “Shivalik” and its tresses. He did a quick course in film appreciation from Film Institute of Pune – he spent sometime as a corporate buff in a multinational in Bombay (now Mumbai) – that was in the year 1974 – a short stint in Pune- He thereafter took up a Government job in West Bengal – a span that lasted 12 years… this was the time when in 1984 he professed as a free-lancer with ‘Aajkal’ a Vernacular daily of reckoning… one leap to another . He moved to ‘Sananda’ (a Magazine from the Anandabazar group) thereafter where he was in the vanguard for all their launch activities … herein he took a decision to chuck his governmental job and embrace journalism as his full time profession and ‘bible’… during these times, his multiple ‘forays’ included working for ETv and directing game shows a galore.
He gave his full throttle thereafter into Film and Television – On his esplanade into these signature professions he headed back to journalism again – He joined ‘Pratidin’ and ‘Aekdin’ – he is currently with Ei Samai’ – He is also into making of documentaries. He is in a guiding role since the last two years for ‘Deutsche Welle’ (DW) – DW is Germany’s public international broadcaster. DW is also known as Voice of Germany whose services are available in 30 languages. Aniruddha has been making small films for this broadcaster on spaces that’s bestowing.
